Privacy

Your data,
plainly handled.

We're a family leather shop, not an ad-tech company. This page says what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have — in plain English.

Never sold

We don't sell your personal information to data brokers, and we give you a clear way to opt out of sharing it for targeted advertising.

Collected for your order

We gather what an order, account, or the marketing you opt into actually needs — and not more.

Yours on request

See, correct, export, or delete what we hold about you with a single email to our team.

01

Who we are & what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Lifetime Leather Co. ("Lifetime Leather," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit lifetimeleather.com, contact us, or make a purchase (together, the "Services"). It also describes the privacy rights you may have and how to exercise them.

We are a family-owned business based in Arizona, USA. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

02

Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, order history, and the personalization content you submit (initials, monograms, names, dates, logos, artwork, and message text). If you create an account, we keep your account details and saved preferences. If you contact us, we keep your correspondence.

Payment information. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, and similar). We do not see or store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Services we automatically collect device and usage information — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, time zone, referring pages, the pages and products you view, and how you interact with the site — using cookies, log files, pixels, and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from our service providers and advertising partners, including fraud-prevention signals, analytics, and engagement data from platforms like Google and Meta when you interact with our ads or content.

03

How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Process, make, personalize, and ship your orders, and provide customer service, repairs, and warranty support;
  • Communicate with you about orders, requests, and — where you've opted in — marketing, new products, and promotions;
  • Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • Personalize your experience and measure the performance of our content and advertising; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
04

Cookies & tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to keep your cart and session working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support analytics and advertising. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function; others are optional.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse or delete them. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law.

05

How we share your information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who act on our behalf — our e-commerce platform and host (Shopify), payment processors, shipping carriers (such as USPS, UPS, and DHL), email and SMS providers (such as Klaviyo), reviews (such as Loox), returns tools (such as Redo), and analytics and customer-support tools;
  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Google and Meta, to measure and deliver advertising (see the next section for your choices);
  • Legal, safety, and compliance recipients when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property; and
  • Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.

06

Targeted advertising & your choices

We use advertising partners to show you relevant ads. Some of this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain U.S. state laws, even though we do not exchange your information for money.

You can opt out of this targeted advertising by emailing us, by enabling the Global Privacy Control in your browser, or by adjusting cookie preferences where available. You can also opt out of many partners through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org).

07

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your information;
  • Receive a portable copy of your information;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of your information; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with privacy laws may exercise these rights by emailing support@lifetimeleather.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

08

Email & SMS marketing

If you opt in, we may send you marketing emails and, where you've consented, text messages. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in the footer of any message, and you can stop texts by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply to texts. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about your orders.

09

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order records — including the personalization details that let us reproduce or repair a piece under our lifetime guarantee — may be retained for the life of that relationship. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

10

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, and our checkout and payments run on PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your account credentials and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity.

11

International visitors

We are based in the United States and process information here. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, our lawful bases for processing include performing our contract with you (to fulfill orders), your consent (for marketing), and our legitimate interests (to operate and secure the Services). You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

12

Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13

Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing them information.

14

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date below, and material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
