Got my mini journal the other day. Quality is beyond what I expected. I quickly made a few modifications to make this my journal, wallet, and phone case for my personal phone(iPhone 13pro, soon to be 16pro which is similar in size) deconstructed a MagSafe pop socket to securely hold my phone on the journal. Also deconstructed one of my old wallets to block RFID. I added the pen holder and was pleasantly surprised to see they sent me my favorite pen with it, the zebra. My only regret wasn’t adding the leather wrap for it, not the end of the world. I’ll definitely be ordering the field notes wallet for my business phone(16 pro max) and likely do the same thing.

Pen loop on side was great. Little small, but its leather so a few days of me forcing it in place made the pen fit great.

Only issue I'd say is it's hard to find third party notebooks that fit. But I dont mind supporting this company they are pretty legit.

Great size, great quality--just be VERY careful if you have to order refills. It comes with a terrific 3" by 5" refill--which fits perfectly. If you order a "3 by 5/small refill" on a different page of the website (the one offering various size refills), you will receive one that is 3.5 by 5.5 (Field Notes size)--which will NOT fit.
