As an experienced leather worker, the quality of this bag is top notch. It is very evident that the bag is handmade of very high quality full grain leather. The conditioning and presentation of the bag is very nicely done as well. It should be noted that this bag is NOT attempting to be a high fashion, delicate, handbag. This is a Go Anywhere, Do Anything bag. I purchased the bag for my wife who needed a bag that was capable enough to handle every day use from going out and about to casual and casual/dress outing. This bag will last her the rest of her life and will carry everything she needs, along with the memories she makes with it. Since the bag is designed to be rugged the style of the finishing is equally as robust. On my wife’s bag, I burnished some of the exposed edges to give the bag a more smooth feel, but otherwise the bag needs nothing. As it was just made and is unlined, the bag will take a few months to break in and really develop it’s true character, but the quality and resilience of the bag is indisputable. While the delivered product was exactly what was promised and expected, the customer communications left a GREAT deal to be desired. I understand that custom made, made to order products take time, but the communication process with clients should be clear. I ordered my wifes’s bag on the 16th of the month, hoping to have it by the 25th. Four or five days to produce and the remaining to ship. I received notification on the 20th that my order was about to ship, but got no more updates for a few days. I emailed and called to follow up with my order. The phone number ALWAYS goes immediately to an away message with zero way to follow up or even be acknowledged, only telling you to send an email. Emails are usually returned end of day. The first time I was responded to, I was told that my concerns would be looked into first thing next Monday and that my order should have shipped. Nothing happened. No update was provided. I followed up again with more emails later towards the end of the week. Again, was told that the person wasn’t sure what happened with my order and they would look into it. The week ended and I was convinced my order was lost, or hadn’t been sent. I was prepared to end up having to cancel my order and asked for a refund, but thankfully I finally got an update that the order finally shipped. Needless to say, products demanding this type of price point need to have an appropriate level of customer service. I reached as stated, via phone, email, and Instagram. The only communication ever received was via email, and it was ALWAYS a wait and delay with no definitive resolution or explanation. It is a shame that the experience of purchasing such a high quality product was somewhat spoiled by the customer service, but that is somewhat to be considered as a company grows. My hope is that as the company grows, Ty and his team are able to put as much quality into the customer experience as they do the product because you couldn’t ask for a more well made bag.

Wow…. Loving this bag. The photo I uploaded doesn’t quite do it justice. Might be the prettiest green leather I’ve ever seen. The pull up is gorgeous: the highs and lows. Makes me want to order a larger bag in green to see more of it. Will obviously wear and weather beautifully with age. Designed just how I like: simple and functional and gorgeous. Oh, and that wonderful leather smell when I opened the box. So glad I searched for a while for the right bag. I found it.

I have two of the larger totes and love them. I was excited to see this crossbody tote with short handles and a long strap. Of course, it has the same high quality leather and workmanship. Another win Lifetime Leather!
